Monfragüe offers a combination of different Mediterranean ecosystems, with dehesas, crags, rivers and wetlands with a great diversity of animal life. Among these, the resident raptors such as the spanish imperial eagle, golden eagle, Bonelli's eagle, black vulture, griffon vulture, peregrine falcon or the black-shouldered kite; and other birds in the breeding period such as black stork, egyptian vulture, booted eagle, short-toed eagle or black kite.
Another of the shows that you can enjoy in Monfragüe is the bellowing of the deer between mid-september and mid-october.
