Vegas Bajas
of the Guadiana

 

Paddly fields in Vegas Bajas represent an important aquatic ecosystem alternative to numerous water birds, given the profound alteration of European wetlands.

 

This habitat, together with the Guadiana River, gives the possibility of watching a wide diversity of bird species throughout the year.

DURATION: 4 hours.

PEOPLE: 2 at least. Places will be completed with others reservations.

PRICE: 40€/ person 25€ / children under 12 years old. 

 

Group (+3 people): 35€ / person.

Group (+5 people): 30€ / person.

EXCLUSIVE SERVICE: 180€. Do not share vehicle with other people, personalized service. 6 people maximum.

RECOMMENDED TIME: End of summer, autumn, winter and spring.

INCLUDE: Transport in 4x4, capacity for 6 clients, nature guides, binoculars for each one and telescope.

Black-shouldered kite, western marsh harrier, common buzzard, penduline tit, yellow-crowned bishop, common waxbill, red avadavat, northern lapwing, squacco heron.

Winter species

Common crane, hen harrier, euroasian curlew, pied avocet, ruff, dunlin, little stint, european golden plover, common snipe, common redshank, water pipit, meadow pipit, bluethroat, common reed bunting.

Summer species

Gull-billed tern, collared pratincole, glossy ibis, purple heron, great reed warbler, euroasian reed warbler, western olivaceous warbler, melodious warbler, golden oriole.

Stopover

Nair-tailed godwit, black-tailed godwit, temminck's stint, wood sandpiper, pied avocet, grey plover, yellow wagtail, whinchat, etc.
